An operating system is system a system software program required to management and operate a computer devices like smartphones ,tablets , monitor, mobile, smartwatch , cars etc . it is operating system that eliminates the need too know coding language to interact with computer devices. moreover the softer side of a computer and control program execution. an operating system is a secure software. it is a layer of graphical user interface (Gul) ,which acts as a platform between the user and the computer hardware.  

  Types of operating system

Batch operating system :- This types of operating system does not interact with the computer directly . there is an operating which takes similar jobs having the same requirement and group them into batches.

Time sharing operating system:- Time -sharing is a technique which enable many people . located at various termination , to use a particular computer system at a same time . time sharing or multitasking is a logical extension of multiprogramming .

Network operating system:- Network operating system runs on a server. it provides the capability too server to manage data , user, other networking function . there are different users and each user prepares there work in a standalone devices such as punchcards in batch operating system and sends them to a computer operating .

Distributed operating system:- This system is based on autonomous but interconnection computer communication with each other via communication liners or a shared networks each automatically system has its own processor that may differ in size and fuctions.

Multi-user operating system:- A multiuser operating system is an multiply user work at a same time in this operating system. that permits server user to access a single operating system. these system are frequently quite complex ,and they must manage the task the various user connected to them require. a multi-user operating system varies from a connect single user accesses the same operating system from different machines.

Multi-tasking operating system:- A multi-tasking operating system is a multiple task at a same time in this operating system this type of operating system enables people who are in two computer system at a same time. the processing time is a termed time sharing as it is shared among multiple user.

Multiprogramming operating system :- A multiprogramming operating system is a multiple program execute at a same time in this operating system multiprogramming is an executing to batch processing where the CPU is a always kept busy . each process needs two type of system time , CPU time and IO time . a real -time system is defined as a data processing system in which the time interval required to process and respond to inputs is a so small that its control the environment .
